Jeff –
Perfect for jeans or dockers where you want a moderately large-sized belt. Too big (IMO) for dress wear. It is hard to find a solid, clean-look belt at a reasonable price. This scores on all counts.

This is a low-ornament, basic, classic, very serviceable style belt, especially for jeans. There is a good color finish on rather stiff leather.

This is a great belt! I wear it to work and it looks great dressed up or in business casual attire. I like how thick it is (don’t care for the super skinny dress belts). I’d suggest getting a size up from the pant size you wear (I wear 32″ pants and got a 34″ belt and I use the middle hole).
Mark G –
Great belt. Just be sure to order up a size from your pants. It runs a little short.

This belt is solid and well-built, and it appears like it will last a long time. My only complaint is that the buckle is a little more formal looking than I was hoping, but that is easily remedied by the fact that it is interchangeable. Ariat makes great leather products, and this belt is no exception.

This is simply a great belt to wear and it matches for formal and informal occasions. It is comfortable and classy.

Works well with jeans and still is classy to wear with slacks. Great buy!

Ariat Downtown
This is a sturdy belt that looks good. It’s like Batman’s utility belt, and that’s just how I use it. I like to attach cameras and iPhones to belts and wear them all day. This practice tends to wear out belts in a hurry – but not the Ariat Downtown. It’s tough enough to take lots abuse. Another great feature is the detachable buckle. You can replace the buckle with an airport-security-friendly (plastic) buckle while traveling, then replace it with the heavy-duty buckle it comes with. You can also put a guitar-friendly western style leather belt buckle on it when you’re playing at gigs and you don’t want your instrument to get scraped in the back by a piece of metal. It’s great for all occasions is what I’m trying to say. Black goes with most of my shoes too. Very satisfied with this belt.

This is a great, durable belt, my second one as I lost weight and had to move down a size. Reinforced holes are a nice touch. My only complaint is you have to order up a size, as the belt length is short. Order the next size up from your waist and should be fine. I use it for both jeans and suits, but it may not be stylish enough for everyone to wear with suits.

I bought this belt for my husband. He has been complaining about the quality of leather belts for years. He hates that most belts are now made of bonded leather. A true leather belt is difficult to find. I am a horse owner and have been buying Ariat leather products for many years and trust the quality. This belt did not disappoint. The quality is great and my husband loves it. He said he always orders a size up, so it fit perfectly. This belt is also a great value. You will pay as much or more for a bonded leather belt at a department store.

Awesome quality belt. I would recommend getting 2 sizes up from your pant size. I’m a 32 and got the 34. It fits fine but is just shorter than I am used to. That’s what you get for ordering online sometimes!

I have several of your belts and think they are the BEST EVER. Great quality and worth the money.

Was given tjhis belt as a gift and it is high quality for the price.

This is a great belt for office/dress attire, I’m very pleased with the quality and price of this Downtown belt from Ariat. This belt arrives to you very stiff but will soon fit nicely. I’ve worn this belt every weekday for over a month now and the belt has formed to my waistline nicely, still presents well and is still very sturdy. Based on this purchase and the other reviews of Ariat products, I’ll be trying other belts from the maker for business and casual attire. Skip the dress belts that are over $40 at the department stores, go with this belt.

Needed belts with removable buckles, so ordered 3 different ones. All seem to be of good quality and were delivered within few days. Would order again!

About one month of use and seems high quality unlike some of the bonded leather belts I have had with some brands.

I wish I could give this belt zero stars. I ordered this belt for my boyfriend, after reading the wonderful reviews, expecting a nice belt. What I received, however, is a piece of junk. I took it out of the box, and the leather finish is already peeling off! The buttons look worn. If I didn’t know any better, I would suspect that someone had already worn this belt. It’s in such bad shape, that I wouldn’t even consider giving it to my boyfriend. Very disappointed.

I wanted a simple belt, all leather, that would not delaminate, that would be suitable for my business casual and casual oriented wardrobe. This fills my specs perfectly. I like to own things that can reasonably be anticipated to be serviceable for the long haul. I have high expectations for this belt.

Stylish, sturdy and comfortable. I don’t like women’s belts so this was great for jeans. Real solid leather rather than the weird glued together pieces of like other cheaply made leather belts, and attractive simple buckle. I love Zappos!

At first I loved this belt, but after 6 months it fell apart. It’s is laminated leather on top of some kind of synthetic that separates and the backing goes to heck.

All things considered this is a wonderful belt! I have one I bought 2 or 3 years ago; I wear it pretty much everyday and it’s still holding up well (although there is a small area along the edge where the leather is beginning to separate but, hey, nothing lasts forever). Zappos asks for an evaluation based on comfort and style as well. Seems to me if the belt fits it gonna’ be comfortable…..and it is! Style? Well, if you’re looking for a plain, black belt, it’s a plain, black belt. As I said I’ve had one for several years. Recently my son was looking for a plain, black belt so I ordered one for him; he seems pretty happy (especially, maybe because he’s gotten a free belt but, really, he seems to like it). A nice feature is that the buckle is removable so that an alternate buckle can be used. On some, the buckle is sewn to the leather……

Bought this to replace a belt that began separating within a week or two of moderate use. It’s holding up nicely so far, and seems like it’s sturdy enough to last for quite a while. Fairly plain, but I view that as a good thing; have worn it with both jeans and slacks and it looks great with either.
Kurt –
Very nice simple belt. Dressy enough for Dockers and jeans. Will work for business casual. I think it is probably a bit wide for a traditional dress belt, it is a little too wide for some dress pants I have that will only accommodate a thinner belt. So, maybe more for the business casual look than suits, although I have worn it with suits as well. Like the clean straightforward look.
David –
Disappointed. Split on the edge above the center hole after a few weeks of intermittent wear. I don’t know what “full grain leather strap” means in the description, because what I can see inside the belt after it split doesn’t look like leather. Not a good impression.
TRam –
This is surprisingly well made. I have never seen “reinforcement” leather stitched in behind the holes before on any belt. I might come back for more colors now. 😉
