Great looking. Got it to go with a brass belt buckle with a polo player on it. Dark tooling looks great.

The belt was everything I hoped for. The quality is excellent and the service I received was very good.

I was impressed by this belt right when I opened the package. I wanted a tough, thick belt and this is it. The tooling looks great, and the belt is extremely solid. Something you need to break in a little. My only complaint is that the snaps for the buckle hardly worked. The rear snap broke apart the first time I put my own buckle on it. That didn’t bother me though, because I was planning on replacing the snaps with Chicago screws anyways. It did however, make me question the quality. Made in China, but so far so good.

Whenever I decide to write an actual review, it means there was something I didn’t like about the product. As for this product, the Ariet Holden, I found that this belt does not bend very well. In fact, the belt has difficulty bending, and although it does hold up pants well and it does look pretty good with my jeans, the difficulty in which it has to be placed in head makes it a little annoying when you have to go to the bathroom. Granted though, it doesn’t require a lot of strength to loosen and tighten the belt, but I sometimes feel like I’m breaking it with the amount of force that is often needed.

Runs small. Can’t see the tooling on the black because it is so dark and there is no contrast. A little stiff. Returning it.

This is a well made, and attractive belt. On the con side it’s a full size smaller then what you would expect. Order up!

I’m very happy with this belt. The leather is thicker than it appears on the website and feels kind of like a police belt, if that makes any sense, just really sturdy. Typically my belts get a little notch in the back where they ride up on the rear belt loop but this one is so sturdy that it has yet to happen. Would definitely recommend.

These guys make real riding boots, so the leather is super stiff, but once it breaks in, it will mold perfectly to your feet.

Nice belt, like the style. I ordered a 42 belt and typically wear a 38 waist in pants. The belt fits on the first notch so I would say it’s true to size and I could probably have ordered the 40 and been OK.

I have doubts that this belt is 100% leather. The writing on the underside of the belt indicates that it is split leather on the underside only and says nothing about the entire belt. The belt is so stiff I could barely belt it, and I’m a strong gal. Sure it held up my pants, the one time I used but, but I had to fight w/ it to get the belt undone and secured again.

Belt is 6 to 8 months old. Used only to hold my jeans up, haven’t hung tools from it. Notch is tearing out and belt will soon separate at that point.

Great belt–I can wear with anything. I bought in both black and brown.

Bought belt 2 weeks ago. Edge of belt where it passes through the buckle is wearing excessively, no edge colour left in that area. Finish is literally peeling off the belt and with it goes the colour. It looks like the belt was “finished” by spraying on dyed lacquer instead of staining the leather and then applying a sealer. Did NOT expect this from Ariat.

I ordered this exact same model, color, and size exactly three years ago. The brown is slightly lighter than before. No problem. But there is no “Grip Strip” as before, and it’s also a full 1″ shorter for the same exact size, and things like this really stink when you buy the same model name from the same company. BUT WAIT there’s more. The earlier belt had 7 notches, slightly closer together. This belt has only 5, farther apart, which means it is not as adjustable as the original. Over the years I have found those notches very handy depending on exercise level, holiday meals, the kind of thing that might make you want to loosen or tighten by 3/4″ at a time, but not a full inch. AND not only that… The stitches are farther apart on this belt (i.e. cheaper sewing) and at the end of the belt it’s just a rough, asymmetrical triangle of stitches, not a smooth shape tracing the belt end as before. There are more details but this is enough to say, for the same exact price as before it is NOT anywhere as good a belt as before. I wore the old one so much it really needed a replacement. I was glad I was able to get one as they seem to be getting discontinued (not on the Ariat website, that I can find). Now I have this thing and I want to swap it but I have to decide what other belt here can I trust to be any good, because this is a major letdown. I like the color and the “engraving” and the buckle shape and color. But the quality is half what it was three years ago. I don’t know if the leather is as good, but it is clear they have cut many corners in the manufacturing. Caveat emptor.

It’s ok. The leather is stiff, so hopefully it will soften up over time. The tooling is nice.
A little short for its advertised size.
Is it a cheap belt? No, I don’t think it feels like a cheap belt.
Was I blown away? No. I was a little disappointed seeing the Ariat name.
Am I keeping it? Yes. It’s still an ok belt.
