Buy a half size smaller, but buy the correct size. Some are U S and others in UK sizes. So know which is being advertised.

Super warm and hefty. Well made. Beautiful. But, for that price the tongue should be gusseted. That’s the only reason to return. If i wear in deep snow, it will deep in around the tongue.

Overall a super cute boot with solid construction. However, being 5’2″ at 116 lbs with a small athletic build I struggled with the fit. The shaft of the boot is 17″ and was too tall for me to walk up the stairs without being very uncomfortable, it pushed very hard into the back of my knee. With patience, the lacing up the front has to be worked so its loose around the calf in order for the zipper to be closed. The lacing is elastic, so it moves when you adjust making it a little challenging to keep it narrow/loose in the wanted areas. The heel cuff is very stiff allowing the back calf portion to slightly sag and not sure how well it will hold up.

After debating between several pairs from different brands, I selected this pair for my extreme winter riding boots. In Montana, we can have winter for 7 months and a few of those months, it’s hardcore cold. But you still gotta ride, right? After trying thicker socks with waterproof paddock boots, I decided it was time to go the insulated route. The winning point for me on this pair is the back zipper. This means I can adjust the laces in the front as well as the top buckle but unzip the back, jam my heel into the bootjack and step out of the boot in my mudroom without sitting down. It hasn’t been cold enough so far this winter to wear these riding, but I can tell they will be fine. I will use a regular merino wool hiking sock and will wear skinny or straight jeans tucked inside and be fine. If it’s ridiculously cold, I can easily put on my chinks or chaps for an added leg layer. I am 5’9” and the boot covers my entire calf. I can see if someone is shorter, it might interfere with their knee. The price gagged me but as soon as they arrived and I inspected them, I realized I had spent my money wisely.

I have yet to ride in these but unlike traditional cheaper versions of Ariat boots these seem to be constructed much better. The fit for me seems to be perfect. I have larger calves and typically have boots custom made to fit correctly. These adjust in the front allowing for an easier adjustment period for me. Once you get the front adjusted all you have to do is zip them up and not fiddle with the front laces.

Beautiful tall boots! I am 5’8 and the boots hit me just under the knee. I have large calves and they do fit with the lace adjustment. Great boots worth the money!

I got these for my daughter for Christmas. She is 5.7″ and weighs 120 lbs. Her calves are very thin. At first she thought these were too wide for her in the calf, but after I pulled all of the laces to their tightest point, these worked out fine. We did have to add a hole in the buckle at the top in order for it to close narrower than it allowed for. I love the zip opening. Now that we have the laces perfect, we don’t have to do and undo them. They are set in place and can stay that way. These are pricey, but I believe the quality is there.

This is an excellent boot, the reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is too tall for my calf size. Overall is 18″ tall, including the heel, the heel measures 1 3/4″ I’m 110lb and 5.2″ form my heel to my knee, I measure 15″
I do not understand why they make this kind of boot too tall. I just want a boot that I could use for the winter but they are all to tall for me.

Fantastic quality boot! It is beautiful and sturdy, pretty stylish too! I have large calves but you can adjust the lacing to accommodate athletic calves. The boot is tall and I am 5’8 and the hit just below my knees. Worth the money, so splurge!

Fit and look are great, except for the toe box. Why make it pointy when our feet are not? Form and function help make a good fit and I will not be able to wear them because I don’t squish my toes anymore and I’m not sure why anyone would.
Please let me know when you make this boot with room for toes. It’s almost right – which makes it even more frustrating! Look at your naked foot, then look at the boot. Even tho the foot is able to fit into that shape, it’s not a good idea to force our feet. So many knee and hip problems for women come from this very thing!

Even with the laces, they aren’t really wide enough for a full calf, and the foot felt much smaller than my usual ariat size. I’m pretty bummed. They’re cute, but they’re so stiff I won’t bother dealing with trying to break them in, so back they go.

I had to use boot tongue they provide to get boots on because the back has a piece of material that is higher than the zipper all the way down. I think it should soften and get easier. Also, the laces are super nice and stretchy to adjust and then you can leave them without readjusting. Fabulous Boot! I am 5’7” 102lbs and they sit 2” below my knee. Calf fit is great. Lots of room to adjust.

I our purchased these boots almost a year ago and I was not disappointed. Even the packaging was beautiful and the attention to detail was wonderful as well. It did take me a few days to break them in but they fit nice a snug. I can wear a regular pair of tall socks or I can wear thicker socks and my feet still stay warm. I had such a hard time finding boots that kept my feet warm and these boots definitely fit the bill. I normally wear a size 6.5 or 7 depending on the cut of the shoe. I ordered a 6.5 and they fit food. I could have gone up a half size if I wanted a little more room but I’m happy with them. They really are great boots and worth the money. I was hesitant to spend that kind of money because that was a lot for me to splurge on boots. I’ve never spent that much money on boots before but they are worth it. I also clean and condition my boots regularly but not too often, only if I feel they need it.

The most comfortable footwear ever! No need to bed in these have never given me blisters. They keep my feet and legs perfectly warm even on icy days but without any sweating. No damp or moisture even wading through streams. Perfect fit achievable as the laces are elastic and zip up back, boot horn and supports were included in the box. Love how these look when on as they don’t make feet look too big, also really like with the tartan inner. Only one negative, they are already collapsing around the ankles so I’m not sure how long they’ll last so I’m already looking for my next pair sadly as these are beautiful boots but twice what I’d normally pay. Twice the price of most other similar boots.

Really pleased with quality of these boots. The fit is lovely (helps having the elasticated laces!). Certainly keep my feet snug too. They were promptly delivered, well packaged, and the inclusion of boot trees is always a bonus.
My only wish is that Ariat did different heights in their Country boots. I’ve got crazy long legs, and they’d look even more stylish if they were longer!

These boots are so comfortable. I’ve worn them doing chores around the barn and riding. My feet haven’t been cold yet. I love that you can adjust the snugness of the boot with the laces then have the ease of on/off with the full zipper in the back. Super classy and functional.

Love, love, love the Berwick!!! I live in MIchigan and our winters at the barn can be COLD!! I needed a boot I could ride in and work around the barn in. These are it!! After reading the reviews I bought a half size up. I can wear them with a thick wool sock or my regular riding socks, they fit great!! I have an average width foot/calf and these are snug to get on, they give you a shoe horn for a reason! They fit like a glove and very comfortable!

These boots are fantastic. They fit beautifully and are comfortable right out of the box. I am able to wear them all day at the ranch, mucking around in the paddock and pasture and riding my horse in the arena and on the trails. They are a 100% waterproof in downpouring rain and thick deep mud . My feet stay warm and comfortable the whole time I’m wearing them. They are warm in the winter and not too hot in the summer. I absolutely love them. I wear them everyday. This is my 3rd pair.

Comfortable right out of the box on the left foot, right foot took an hour to break in a slight ankle rub (so if this happens to you, give it a bit) — I also only had a short sock on. I did not have to adjust the front laces at all. These are truly stunning boots that seem to be amazingly durable as well. It took me so long to find the perfect boot, but I think I did it! Thanks to Ariat and Zappos!
