I love Ariat boots. Have had a pair for over 20 years and they still look great. These Wexford’s are beautiful and I was jazzed that they are waterproof but found the top hitting at an awkward spot of my leg. I wish they lowered the top of the boot by an inch and a half or 2. Found it uncomfortable to walk in and sadly am returning them.

So cute! I love that the leather is soft and waterproof! I have a higher instep and could get into these boots really easily. They will take a little break in time since I have a wider foot, but the sole is really nice and flexible. These boots have a beautiful shape and are adorable and super functional!

LOVE THESE BOOTS! I walk 5-6 miles per day just in my normal daily routine and needed something other than athletic shoes to go with casual office attire. These boots required NO break-in period and have given me NO rubs or blisters, even though I have tiny ankles and narrow heels, and they do slip as I walk. Wool socks work better than cotton. I read other reviews first and agree that the fit isn’t right for all, and these were tight across the top of my foot for a few days, but then they seemed to mold to my feet perfectly, and they are now so comfortable that I often keep them on even for my exercise walking. Last week, we had 8″ of snow which quickly turned to mud and slush, and these boots were entirely warm and waterproof through every mile of my walks to work and back. I chose Ariat because I ride horses and have 5 pairs of Ariat barn/riding boots in various stages of wear, and they are the most comfortable footwear I own. I don’t get rid of them til they fall completely apart, and that takes many year. I would order more of these now if I could afford them, but sadly, I’ll have to wait for a sale!

Love, love, love these boots. They are extremely comfortable and stylish. I have stood in them for hours and my feet were very comfortable (this never happens to me). I also receive a lot of compliments. I first purchased them in taupe and just purchased them in java. I ordered size 7 for both pairs. The 7 in taupe felt a little big but I decided I could make it work. The 7 in java was too big; I had to exchange for size 6.5. I am considering ordering another pair in taupe because they go with everything. If I do, I am going to try the 6.5.

Wow.
I’ve never been so impressed with a pair of boots that instantly broke in. These boots are classy enough for city people but still waterproof and built for the outdoors. Although, you won’t want to because they are so pretty.
They are the perfect Seattle boots. PS. They are 1/2 size larger. I wear a 7.5 and bought a 7.0
I wore them all weekend. Must have walked at least 10 miles in them. I also managed to ding them up pretty good over some rocks…
I’d recommend wearing good socks that have their own moisture-wicking system because these boots are waterproof, meaning, they won’t breath.
I purchased the Blundstone BL566 (regular width) as a comparison. The Blundstone boots were very hard and started to scrape my heel. While I’m sure these boots are also well-made, they just didn’t even look in the same ballpark as the Ariats.
I’m considering buying a few more pairs and just storing them for a few years in case anything about the manufacturing process changes from this point forward. These are awesome boots!

These boots are an excellent quality – they are made with very nice leather and have a solid sole with a comfortable foot bed.
I really wanted to keep these boots but unfortunately I have a very high arch and the boot rubbed on the top of my feet and also rubbed against one of my ankles. This boot is best suited for people with lower arches or flatter feet.
The sizing was true to size.

After two rounds of less expensive boots busting, I saved some pennies and got these boots. A lot of other reviewers made mention of little to no breaking in period, and that is true! I’ve worn these boots nearly every day since receiving them just over a week ago. I wear a 7.5-8, and went with the 8 for these – a solid half size too large! But with some woolly socks, these boots will be unstoppable. Great support, not a single tender spot from wearing them everywhere for a week, and super comfortable. They wear a little like motorcycle boots and clomp a little as you get used to their weight, but that doesn’t bother me one bit. These are my go-to boots for at least the next 6 months!

The deep brown color is gorgeous and the leather and make of these boots are clearly high quality. however they are very bulky and “rugged” looking which is not what I wanted in a Chelsea boot so I returned. if you need a basic boot for a lot of walking these are perfect. If you’re looking for a sleek/“city” style I wouldn’t recommend these. They have kind of a doc martens clunky shape.

Oh how I love these boots! They are beautiful and wonderful and I really, really want to keep them…but I can’t because I have a bunion on one foot and they are just too narrow in the toe to accommodate it. The boot might stretch over time and be wearable but I am not willing to take that chance with such an expensive item and the break in period would definitely hurt. I don’t mind making an investment in a quality pair of boots and these babies are very nice quality (I have other Ariat boots that I have had for many years.) I encourage anyone looking for a rugged, waterproof, super cute, quality boot to try these. They are worth the investment. Thanks Zappos!

These just arrived yesterday so I can’t vouch for the durability, but I’m already in love! I live in Maine and even if there isn’t fresh snow on the ground, there’s always slush and ice and puddles. I needed something that would hold up nicely in the weather but that I’d be happy to wear indoors throughout the day, too.
They fit perfectly — I have had some trouble with toe boxes that feel too narrow but these have some room for thick socks, etc. They’re very sturdy and comfortable, and it’s not a hassle to pull on the boot– the gore provides enough give.
I got them in java, and they’re dark brown with enough olive in them that I’m confident they’ll match just about anything, not just browns and navys.

1. I’m a true 8 1/5 but a size 8 was perfect there’s still room to wear a thick sock.
2. The colors are better in person look at their website for better photos
3. They are not as bulky as they may look. I’m 145 lbs and they fit my ankles a little loose which I love for thick socks
4. The shoe soles are comfy and a little spongy which I love
Overall great product! Water proof 100%

These are my go-to boots for this rainy California winters. I got the Cordovan color, and its dressy enough for work buy still at home working in the garden and running errands. Perfectly waterproof, comfortable, well made, and I love how they look! True to size length-wise but run a little bit wide. Wearing thick socks solves it for me.

I did return these but only because i found a pair of Sorrel’s while shopping out of town that I can’t return. Very cute boots and seemed like they would be comfortable. Easy to take on and off but I would think these would go best with taller socks so that they don’t rub the top of your leg.

Depending on the brand, I’m either a 7, 7.5, or 8. I initially bought these in 7.5 (way too big!!) and then ordered a 7. The size 7 fit, but I’m just not in love with the color of them (and priced at >$200, I have to love them to keep them). They’re more stylish than Blundstones (in my opinion)– less clunky. The shaft did rub on my shin, but that issue is remedied with taller socks. They are well constructed, sturdy, and have grippy tread and a comfortable footbed. Clearly made to last. If these came in a cognac color, there’s no question I’d be keeping them. Disappointed, because they’re possibly the most functional waterproof chelsea boot I’ve found. Make more colors available, please!

I usually wear leather sole cowboy boots for horse riding, and my favorite Frye Carson Short boots bit the dust and seem to be discontinued. I wanted to stay with a short boot because of the heat here in AZ, so I’m taking a shot at these because they are waterproof (prob. hot) and hoping won’t get so trashed at the stables. I’ve never really ridden with rubber bottom shoes, so we’ll see. I know this is not probably what people are interested in these boots for, but that’s my story.
Sizing: I am an 8.5 and tried both 8.5 and 8 at the same time around the house for a few days. I kept the 8s. It’s tough bc I feel the toe box is a little snug…but the 8.5s had a lot of ‘play’ and felt clunky as I walked around. I would recommend trying 2 sizes just in case. I have another pair of Ariat waterproof boots, and felt they 8.5 was a little big, but it was going to cost too much to try the 8s with shipping etc. so I kept the 8.5…. and always wonder.

I love Ariat boots. I need some just to pull on and go. I live in the country so looking for a rustic boot, which this isn’t. I had a difficult time pulling them on, just very tight over my instep. A bit tight over the widest part. I might have traded for a wider size, but the leather just doesn’t feel sturdy. I have a pair of Ariat taller boots that I can wear and not worry that they will get shredded on rocks or ?? This is a nice looking boot. I would have kept them if the leather was a bit thicker, sadly a lot of the boots are manufactured with these thin leather skins. So had to return. Zappos is wonderful.

Another great pair of Ariat boots. The cordovan looks even better in person. The boots are very comfortable with minimal break in time. Nice boots to pair with skinny jeans, skirts or what have you.

The Cordovan color in these are gorgeous. I really liked the sole. What I didn’t like is how voluminous it is. Even though the length and width seemed great I could feel my foot move around inside (had on regular thickness wool socks). I consider myself to have a normal width foot. Also this style of boot in general makes my feet look even bigger than normal. Not what I’m looking for.

I have a “low volume” foot and these fit very well with light and medium weight Smartwool socks. I just didn’t think I could wear them to work – they really are more of an outdoor or barn boot. They are of excellent quality, like all Ariat boots, and would be great if I worked at the stable where I ride!

I LOVE these boots. I constantly get compliments when I wear them, and the fact that they’re waterproof is huge. I live in Maine and need good looking shoes that aren’t so delicate that they’ll be damaged in the rain, snow, ice, salt, and mud. These are the holy grail– feel polished and put together AND know that I can go for a walk in a muddy field without messing up my shoes.

I was looking for waterproof chelsea-style winter booties, and though these looked more like work boots than what I was going for. However, of all the boots I tried on, these were the most comfortable, and have a western-industrial style I like a lot more than I expected. I have wide feet, 9-9.5, and ordered the 9.5W. While I wish Ariat made wide shoes, these felt the same width or wider as the comfortiva and blondo boots that I tried in wide. The leather is very substantial, and I expect them to stand up to a lot of abuse. The sole is very heavy, and stitched with a proper stiff goodyear welt. I ordered the Java, which I expected to be brown, but is really more of a dark brown olive – there’s definitely no red in this leather dye.

I am usually a size 6, but a size 6 for the Wexford didn’t leave room for socks so I ordered a 6.5. The 6.5 gives me enough space to wear medium to thick socks without being too long. The cordovan color is so beautiful and the boots are slim enough to be worn with dresses. The edge of the shaft rubs up against my calf, so if you have big calves that might be an issue.
Kat –
I really REALLY love these boots. I ordered an 8.5. Initially they felt snug along the tops of my feet but putting in slightly thicker socks completely alleviated the discomfort and now they are 100% molded to my feet and amazing.
I will say I am typically in a size 9 since having my son (yay preggo feet) but the 8.5 are perfect. Even when they initially felt snug on the tops of my feet, my toes had the perfect amount of space and there was no slipping of the heel. The next size up would have been too big.
These are perfect for crazy Colorado weather. Warm enough for light snow, waterproof for wet days, and durable that I could hike in them if I wanted.

These Ariat boots are very well made and absolutely gorgeous. I wear a size 7 medium. These boots fit just right in the front and sides but; unfortunately, they are too big for my narrow heels. Oh how I want to keep them, but must return them. Thank you, Zappos.

Not exactly the headline you thought you’d be seeing for a review, but here it is. I work in dog rescue so visiting the shelters, chasing dogs around and dog poop are all a part of daily life. Try as one might, you WILL step in dog poop. Poop happens. But with these boots it washes right off with a hose like it wasn’t even there to begin with! No wet socks, and it’s like it never even happened. Best part is they’re super comfortable. Unlike other boots I’ve had, there is no breaking in period. These were comfy from the minute I put them on. Bonus? They’re cute. Style them with a dress or jeans and the compliments just keep coming. And no one but you and the dogs know that minutes prior they were covered in poop. Love them so much that I got two different colors! Dog and human approved!
