Being a lineman we always wore cathartt. Fed up with the fit and inconsistent size of carhartts and after trying the Ariat m4 for regular everyday wear I decided to purchase the Ariat Fr m4. Boy these pants fit identical to the non fr m4 pants. Really happy with the fit and so far holding up great. Except for the couple small FR tags these look just as great as my other Ariat pants and fit great with my cowboy boots or my lineman boots. I normally wore 33 or 34 waist and found a 32 ariats fit great.

I love the way they fit and wear during work they are very comfortable

We have bought 6 pairs in 6 months. No more. The stitching in the crotch is junk. Too bad because we love the fit of the jean. Don’t waste your money on poor quality.
Oilandgas –
Crotch ripped after wearing about 10 times. The jeans fit great and were extremely comfortable but are poor quality. I was not going to review these but seeing the other reviewer have the same issue I felt it was necessary. I hardly do any real physical labor in these jeans so for them to fall apart from sitting in a truck is a good indication of the poor quality.

I own about 10 pairs of these jeans. 8 of them have a hole in the crotch. 2 of them have holes in the back pockets. 4 other guys in my office also have the same issue. We all love the look and the feel of the jean, its disappointing that the crotch rips after wearing them a dozen or so times.

It’s a shame, because these are the only FR pants I have found that are designed for someone younger then your grandpa’s generation. Low rise comfort let you work. BUT! The crotch comes unstitched on every pair of Ariat FR jeans I have. This happens within weeks of owning. My non FR ariats have never had this problem not sure why they can’t get FR jeans right. It’s frustrating since I have to wear them to work every day and not sure if at some given point is my junk gonna fall out. I’ve been sticthing them up and reinforcing the crotch as soon as I buy them but that’s kinda aggravating to have to do that after paying $80+ for them. I would only recommend them to others because off the nice fit at the waist and maneuverability, where as most brands of FR have waists that come up to your chest like your grandpa use to wear. Not pleased about having the crotches come unstitched, if there were more women in the line industry is be worried about getting in trouble when the pants go bad.

Our entire plant have gone to wearing theses jeans. We have to wear FR jeans everyday and I’ve had 8 pairs of these jeans. They are comfortable and wear great for about a month then the crotch begins coming unsewn and rips out. I won’t be getting another pair unless the problem is remedied.

Blown out crotch. Great pant other than that. Fix it!

I have had 4 pair of the M4’s and everyone of them has had the pockets deteriorate. The pants fit great but I can’t use the darn pockets. And get rid of the pocket withing the pocket. It just creates something else to make the pockets rip. Sorry Ariat, I tried your product now I am going back to Cinch.

I have bought a few of these and had to replace every one of them on warranty replacement only to have them rip in the crotch area after only a handful of times wearing them. These jeans are over priced and over rated. Will never buy Ariat FR jean again.

I’m relieved to see that I’m not the only one with this problem !! I’ve bought half a dozen pairs of M4’s over the years, with the same issue every time. BLOWN SEAMS IN THE CROTCH !I like everyone else , love the look of the these pants but never seem to keep them long . My wife has tried to repair the stitching but continues to split . I feel that there is not enough material in the crotch area for proper movement . One cannot climb up on the tracks of a bulldozer or step rails of a slightly lifted 4×4 without revealing the jewels. I’ve since purchased the Dura-stretch style and love them even more , but could you offer different colors other than dark blue ? OR fix this flaw in the M4 !? Thanx , rant over !

Have purchased 3 pair I. The past month and the button has torn out of every one after 3-4 wearing …… having to replace means even more $$ per pair !!! Going back to cinch !!!!

Ive worn these jeans for years. Sometime recently it seems yall changed more than. Just your tag style. The jeans which used to fit me perfectly are now way to tight in the thigh and crotch area. Even after trying to go up a size they still fit tight. Way to ruin a good pair of jeans

Good pants need crotch re-enforcing tho! I like them and I?m buying two more pairs now!

Bought a few pair for work and all was fine, they just don’t hold up. Went to buy more of the exact pair and size. Everyone was too long and too big in the waist, went down a size and they almost fell off!

Have had at least 10 pairs over the past couple years, and every single pair gets a hole in the inseam/crotch area. Figured I’d google the issue to see lots of others with the same issue. Will not be buying any more pairs

After buying my first pair of these, I am hooked. The quality is perfect and the fit is just right from top to bottom! They are softer than the more rugged blue jean types. I have received several compliments about how well they look. I have since bought three additional pairs and are now they only style I will wear!

Waist was good but you people really massed up with the inseam or length. By inseam you meant length otherwise why their inseam is 28 where as
I have ordered for 30?? I basically know the differences between the inseam and the length but I guess you don’t or some of you definitely don’t. These pants length is 30 and all of them, where as I wear 32. So by calculating accordingly, I did order for 30 inseam and by inseam, I did not mean the overall length of the pant. But when the pants arrived, I am seeing their length is 30 (and the inseam is 28), which was not my intention. You people should know very well that the inseam and the length are NOT THE SAME for any pant. So you have made a mistake and now I have to return all the pants. For your mistakes, I am getting the hassle. How cool is that. . .

I purchased 4 pairs, all of them the stitching has come loose, they easily tear. Love the way they fit but won’t buy another pair. Absolutely terrible quality.

This is my second pair of Ariat’s , and just like the first, I Love these jeans.,.. Waiting for the Cody style boot cut’s to come in a 32 inseam so I can get those too and love’em.

These jeans are excellent material. They are a tiny bit loose but otherwise good
